Change of Pace + Change of Place = Change of Perspective

This is a formula that I learned from a Mentor about 3 to 4 years ago. Yet I never put it into practice. I thought with so much going on in life… I didn’t have time to stop. I mean… I’m leading a church through revitalization, developing young staff members, and trying to be a loving husband and awesome dad in the process.

Who has time to stop?!?!

I’m sure you’re thinking the same thing. You have deadlines at work, papers to grade, kids to escort to every practice imaginable… All while trying to be a great spouse and parent. It gets tiring!

The problem…  We think everything we are involved in is a priority. We think there is simply nothing we can cut out of our schedules. And in doing this… We aren’t giving anything our best efforts.

It doesn’t have to be this way!

That’s the lesson in learning. You can stop. You have to stop. Make yourself slow down. Change the pace in which you’re living. For your sake… And for everyone’s sake around you.

When the pace at which you’re running changes… You’re able to slow down and see things a little more clear. To see what really matters in life.

Make plans to get away. Go somewhere new. Somewhere you’ve never been before and just relax. It doesn’t have to be somewhere that costs a ton of money. Go to a park or a beach. Just sit and enjoy the moment.

I guarentee… A new perspective on life will follow.

In the next day or so… I’ll share with you the major lesson I’ve been learning this week. I’ve gotta run… My girls are awake and ready to go out on the boat.

Blessings!
